Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) cooperated in the implementation and compilation of the FY2024 Survey on the Living Conditions and Perspectives of People with Mental Disorders and Their Families – National Family Needs Survey Report, which was conducted by The National Federation of Associations of Families with Mental Illness in Japan (Minna-net), a nationwide public interest organization representing families of people with mental disorders.
This survey was conducted with the aim of comprehending, on a nationwide scale, the living conditions and support needs of people with mental disorders and their families, as well as identifying challenges within existing systems and support frameworks. The findings are expected to contribute to policy development that facilitate the realization of mental health, medical, and welfare policies that enable both individuals with mental disorders and their families to live safely and securely in their communities.
HGPI will continue its efforts to promote collaboration among people from diverse backgrounds, including individuals with mental and developmental disorders, throughout the health, medical, and welfare policy-making process. Through these activities, HGPI aims to advance meaningful patient and public involvement nationwide and, ultimately, contribute to the establishment of better health, medical, and welfare systems.
Details of the published survey report are available through the link below.
