[Introducing World Mental Health Day]
World Mental Health Day was established by the World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH) about 30 years ago, with the first awareness activities held on October 10, 1992. This day aims to raise awareness about mental health challenges, eliminate stigma, and spread knowledge worldwide. Today, supported by the World Health Organization (WHO), awareness activities take place in more than 60 countries on October 10 each year.
Each year, activities are organized around a global theme. The 2025 theme is “Access to Services: Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies.”
