Tags: AMR
The One Health Networking Conference was held on December 23, 2025, in partnership with Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) and AMR Alliance Japan.
The conference was organized to strengthen cross-sectoral collaboration frameworks in addressing antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and to deepen understanding of how Japan could advance a comprehensive One Health approach.
Researchers and government officials from across Japan gathered to engage in open dialogue on initiatives related to the collection and utilization of antimicrobial resistance data across humans, animals, food, environment, and genomics. Participants shared their research findings and ongoing initiatives, fostering mutual understanding of the current landscape of AMR challenges across multiple disciplines. The conference also provided a valuable opportunity for discussions on Japan’s strategic direction for One Health, including the sharing of current status in each sector and exploring future pathways and possibilities for cross-sectoral collaboration.
Based on the network formed through this conference, HGPI and AMR Alliance Japan will work to construct collaborative frameworks to further advance cross-sectoral AMR countermeasures.
