Countries around the world are working to secure health care sustainability through the use of innovation and new technologies to improve productivity and increase health system efficiency and effectiveness.
In Japan, critical policy documents, including the “Japan Revitalization Strategy” have brought health technology into focus. And it is clear that ICT will foster a telemedicine infrastructure and improve health care quality, cost, safety, and performance.
However, innovation and new technologies have redefined the concept of health itself and sought out the difference between relevant legal systems and technology improvement around the world.
In this breakfast meeting, Lawyer Takafumi Ochiai who is an expert in IT and digital health will give a lecture from the legal perspective on topics such as telemedicine, big data, the handling of patients’ personal health information, and provision of new services in the health care field along with current state and issues and future agendas taking up examples from other foreign countries
■Key Word
