On 26th August, we held an annual special seminar of 11th semester of Health Policy Academy (HPA), which commenced this May.

This additional special seminar is convened, apart from the compulsory program* in each semester of HPA with inviting all alumuni members of HPA. This year, we are trimendously delighted to have many participants from 1st semester to 10th semester almuni as well as the participants from the current 11th semester.

In the lecture entitled with “Looking Back at The Response to The COVID-19 Infection from The Perspective of Health Communication,” Mr. Mamoru Ichikawa explained the responses taken at early, middle, after vaccine approval, and the current prolonged phase from communication perspective. It covered some posts seen in press, social network service and other different formats of communication. Following the lecture, many questions were posed from the participants and discussion extended even wider topics relevant with COVID-19 and communication.

*This seminar is given in a blended format. Mr Mamoru Ichikawa and some participants joined onsite with following the government guideline against COVID-19 and the lecture is delivered to remote participants on live as well.
