Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) held the June Study Group Session of the 11th semester of Health Policy Academy (HPA).
At the June Study Group Session, we had a lively discussion on the issue of “increasing income-based co-payment rates for late-stage healthcare for the elderly (20% co-payment for those with an income of JPY 2 million or more).” Various perspectives were brought to the discussion and themes covered include intergenerational and income equity, the sustainability of healthcare systems, and evidence to inform policy changes.
The 11th semester of HPA will be held over the next six months. It aims to provide participants with opportunities to learn basic knowledge and acquire skills for health policy through lectures by opinion leaders and interactive multi-stakeholder discussions among participants.

This program is available only in Japanese.
