HGPI Manager Ms. Eri Yoshimura and Senior Associate Mr. Shunichiro Kurita will speak at the Nikkei Dementia Symposium, which is sponsored by the Nikkei, Inc. and co-hosted by HGPI.
The Basic Law for Dementia was submitted into legislation in June 2019 and is expect to be enacted at an extraordinary Diet Session this fall. In preparation for its enactment, HGPI has held nonpartisan Diet Study Groups on Dementia and other events to create opportunities to promote the discussion of dementia within the Diet. With the formulation of the Framework for Promoting Dementia Care in June 2019 and the enactment of the Basic Law for Dementia this fall, we believe that developments in dementia policy promotion will continue to accelerate. In participation of those developments, we would like to explore and discuss at this symposium a shared recognition of the ideal structure of a society of coexistence to be created through the joint efforts of industry, government, academia, and civil society.
