Eri Yoshimura graduated from Keio University with a BA in Law (Political Science). After graduating, she commenced her career at Olympus and then she worked as a strategy consultant at IBM Japan. As a recipient of the Rotary Foundation Global Scholarship, she completed and graduated from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) with a MS in Global Health. During her masters at UCSF, Eri focused on maternal and child health, and conducted field work and research. After graduating from UCSF, she joined Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) in 2016. Eri has managed and lead several projects for multiple themes including dementia, global health, women’s health, and children’s health. She currently heads projects for hearing loss, kidney disease and obesity, and is responsible for global NCDs policy promotion and advancement through collaboration with WHO and civil societies. Additionally, she served as a member of a municipal children’s policy council (2024-2026), a member of the WHO Civil Society Commission Steering Committee (2025-2027), and an advisor to global companies in the NCDs area.
Currently, she also serves as consultant in the field of NCDs and Ageing for the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for the Western Pacific.
