Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) is supporting Fast Track Cities Workshop Japan 2023 Special symposium which is scheduled to be held on Saturday, 2 December 2023 and hosted by National Center for Global Health and Medicine.
The Fast-Track Cities initiative is a global network of over 500 cities worldwide that are committed to accelerating their urban HIV, TB, and viral hepatitis (HBV and HCV) responses to achieve SDG 3.3 of ending the HIV and TB epidemics, as well as the WHO’s HBV and HCV elimination goals by 2030. The initiative was established on World AIDS Day 2014 by four core partners, The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), International Association of Providers of AIDS Care (IAPAC), the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), and the City of Paris. This year’s workshop, the second of its kind, will be held under the title “Towards the World’s Fastest End to the AIDS Epidemic: From Citizen Participation to Citizen Driven Action” and will aim to share best practices and stimulate discussion on HIV policy recommendations in Japan. The event will be held with invited speakers from the European AIDS Clinical Society (EACS), domestic civil society organizations and researchers.
We look forward to the participation of everyone involved in a wide range of HIV-related activities, including government, medical care, prevention and awareness-raising activities.
