Takahiro Sakauchi
Adjunct Fellow, Health and Global Policy InstituteMr. Takahiro Sakauchi holds a Bachelor of Science in Sports Science degree from Waseda University. While attending Waseda University, he gained clinical experience at the Waseda Sports Medicine and Science Clinic as well as at Stanford Sports Medicine. After graduation, he got certified as an athletic trainer, and pursued his enthusiasm for healthcare and rehabilitation at various settings including sports in European and antipodean countries and healthcare in Japan. These experience made him interested in health administaration and policy, and join HGPI in 2020, after working at a health consultancy company. Main projects he served and/or currently serves on include dementia, chronic disease and patient advocacy. He earned the master degree in public health (MPH) from Glasgow Caledonian University while working at HGPI.
