On September 1, 2025, the joint lecture titled “One Health, One Planet – Combating AMR for a Sustainable Future” (June 24, 2025) co-hosted by Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI), AMR Alliance Japan and the University of Tokyo was introduced in the September issue (No. 227) of Journal of Modern Veterinary Medicine (mVm), a small animal clinical journal published by Pharm Press.
The lecture highlighted that antimicrobial resistance (AMR) poses a serious global threat to the treatment of infectious diseases and the maintenance of public health. It emphasized that AMR has been gaining increasing attention in the fields of medicine, pharmacy, and veterinary science, and is also closely linked to the concept of planetary health.
HGPI and AMR Alliance Japan will continue to promote countermeasures against AMR in collaboration with stakeholders from industry, government, academia, and civil society, aiming to build a sustainable future.
