Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) is pleased to officially announce its participation in the World Health Organization (WHO) Civil Society Commission.
The WHO Civil Society Commission was launched at the inaugural meeting of its Steering Committee in Geneva on August 24, 2023. The Commission provides the ability to channel advice and recommendations from civil society to WHO on health priorities and related issues in a more structured and systematic way.
The WHO Civil Society Commission consists of a Steering Committee of maximum 25 members, an annual General Meeting of all the participants, and Working Groups to share information and collectively work on specific issues.
HGPI has actively communicated its activities not only within Japanese society but also in the international community. Marking its 20th anniversary, HGPI aims to further strengthen its efforts and, in line with its mission, contribute, even if modestly, to providing options for global civil society.
