On May 17, 2025, Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) will host an event titled, “The Patient and Citizen Lived Experience Forum 2025.” Under the theme of “Taking the First Step in Co-creating Health Policy Through Meaningful Involvement,” this event will welcome people with lived experience of health conditions and others close to them from across Japan and who are interested in the meaningful involvement of people with lived experience in the policy-making process. Interested parties require no prior experience in the policy-making process to take part in this forum. We aim to provide a space for networking and discussion and create a point of entry to meaningful involvement in the policy-making process for people with lived experience.

The forum will consist of two main programs:
Program 1: Talk Session – “Taking the First Step in Advancing Patient and Stakeholder Participation Together”
Program 2: Level Up Workshop – “Let’s Take the First Step Toward the Meaningful Involvement!”
