Starting this year, Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) has organized HGPI Salon for individual supporting members and those interested in health care policy from various fields.
On April 11, 2024, the lecture for the second session was given by Ms. Helen Tomlinson.
Helen Tomlinson is the UK Government’s first Menopause Employment Champion and Head of Human Resources (UK & Ireland) for the Adecco Group, a world leader in HR solutions. The Adecco Group designed and implemented the UK’s first corporate menopause policy. Helen is dedicated to helping companies of all sizes to create a supportive environment, encourage open conversations, and help women thrive in the workplace through menopause and beyond. Based on the knowledge and experience she has gained in the course of her work, she presented “No Time to Step Back: How Corporate Cultural Change Can Support Women’s Advancement and Realization of Their Potential” in a session titled “The Future of Women in the Workplace: How to Create a Supportive Environment and Encourage Open Conversations”. The Q&A session was a great opportunity for the participants to deepen their understanding of the issue.

Ms. Helen Tomlinson
Helen Tomlinson is the UK Governments first-ever Menopause Employment Champion. Working alongside the Department for Work and Pensions, Helen helps employers develop policies that empower women experiencing menopause to stay and progress in work. Applying the principles of Education & Allyship creating Cultural Change, Helen has built a clearly defined sector-based strategy to support women across all aspects of intersectionality throughout their career from a women’s health perspective. Advocating for gender equity is the common thread throughout Helen’s 30-year career in the recruitment and employability sectors.
