The AMR Consortium (Secretariat: AMR Alliance Japan) of the Nikkei FT Communicable Diseases Conference Asia Africa Medical Innovation Consortium (AMIC) shared key points of its policy recommendations calling for the creation of a pull incentive to encourage antimicrobial R&D at the 7th NIKKEI FT Communicable Diseases Conference.
Over the past year, the AMR Consortium has debated schemes that would be able to incentivize antimicrobial R&D in the future.
At the NIKKEI FT Communicable Diseases Conference, the Consortium shared key points from policy recommendations that were developed based on that debate, and considered points to be discussed further in the future.
In light of the situation with novel coronavirus, this conference was carried out primarily online. On-site participants were encouraged to keep a safe physical distance from each other.
