[Activity Report] “Nordic Health Days” at the Nordic Pavillion, Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (June 25-26, 2025, Yumeshima, Osaka)
On June 25 and 26, 2025, Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) Chair Mr. Ryoji Noritake, Senior Manager Dr. Haruka Sakamoto, and Manager Ms. Yui Kohno participated in the following sessions at the “Nordic Health Days” held at the Nordic Pavilion during Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, respectively.
■ Multi-Stakeholder & Sector Collaboration
Recent innovations and life science initiatives in the field of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) from the Nordic region were shared, followed by active discussions on the values and outcomes generated through collaboration among multiple stakeholders and sectors.
■ Health Equity and Patient-Centric Approaches
Best practices and relevant policies regarding health equity and improved healthcare access in the Nordic region were presented, with a focus on patient-centric approaches. The session featured fruitful exchanges aimed at sharing knowledge and promoting collaboration among stakeholders.
■ AMR – Confronting the Accelerating Threat
A diverse group of stakeholders, including cancer patient organizations, national agencies, international organizations, and private foundations, gathered to share the current status and future outlook of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) national action plans in various countries. Through concrete activities of international collaboration, the significance of further cross-border and cross-sector cooperation was emphasized.
HGPI will continue to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to contribute to the development of more effective health policies.
