On July 6, 2024, Mr. Joji Sugawara, Vice President of Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) and Ms. Yui Kohno, Manager of HGPI gave a lecturer at the “Intro to Health Technology Assessment” by St. Luke’s International University, Graduate School of Public Health.
In his lecture titled “Multi-stakeholders Discussion led by CSO and the Path Forward: Agenda Setting for Planetary Health,” Mr. Sugawara presented the basic concept of planetary health, and the recent activities and advocacy around the planetary health policies, described the roles of think tanks to direct the world to the better future.
In her lecture titled “Tackling AMR: A Unified Agenda for Local and Global Challenges,” Ms. Kohno presented the overview of AMR, the recent structural challenges around AMR from health, animal, agricultural and environmental perspectives, the international trends in AMR policies and described the role of think tanks to address cross-cutting policy challenges around the world from a neutral and comprehensive standpoint.
