HGPI Chairman Dr. Kiyoshi Kurokawa, gave a lecture on the causes of the decline in academic research in Japan, problems in the research community, and messages to young researchers, based on the contents of his new book*. This is the Invited Lecture Session at the 97th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Association for Infectious Diseases, the 71st Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Chemotherapy, Joint Conference.
