(Report) HGPI introduced approach on NCD at the 25th Quadrennial Congress held by International Council of Nurses

International Council of Nurses was held “The 25th Quadrennial Congress” during May 18- 23rd, 2013 for 6 days in Melbourne, Australia. Under the theme of “Equity and Access to Health Care”, almost 4000 medical practitioners from 130 countries have joined.
Throughout the congress, many symposium, lectures and sectional meetings were held and countries’ approach on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) or aging society was introduced.
At the symposium of “Multi-Stakeholder’s Approach for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) in Japan”, Mr. Kazumi Kubota from Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI), Mr. Takashi Kawazoe, CEO of Carepro Ltd., Ms. Mayumi Mizutani, PhD.candidate of St. Luke’s College of Nursing., Ms. Nahoko Harada, PhD. candidate of Connell School of Nursing, Boston College were invited to talk.
There were lots of positive feedbacks from the international audiences as HGPI introduces Japan’s initiative on NCD. There is no doubt that Japan should continue transmitting the information as the world audience is eager to learn from Japan’s unique case.
