40th Breakfast Meeting “General Practitioner: Current situation and future prospects in Japan”
On December 13th, 2012, the Health and Global Policy Institute was hosted its 40th Regular Breakfast Meeting.  On this occasion we  welcomed Professor Ryuki Kassai of the Department of Community and Family Medicine at Fukushima Medical University, to speak on the theme of “General Practitioner: Current situation and future prospects in Japan”.

Japan, as a country with a rapidly aging society, has seen growing attention being paid to family medicine as a means for solving the varying medical problems associated with aging and supporting the entire community.
