Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) held the first meeting of its task force on “Redefining ‘Long–term Care’ to Create a Long–term Care System for the Era of Healthy Longevity.” In accordance with Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID–19) control measures, the meeting was held entirely online and was not open to the public.
The discussion at the second meeting of the task force was based on the tentative policy recommendation to show the future vision for long-term care drafted by HGPI. The topics discussed include but are not limited to what factors confirm that the dignity of those who need long-term care is respected, the importance of decision-making support for this dignity to be respected, and challenges to establish a stable long-term care provision system. The policy recommendation is to be published at the end of this fiscal year.
