Health Policy Summit

The Health Policy Summit was held again this year to bring together health policy decision makers in Japan and open discussion on critical issues. About 100 health policy leaders from various fields participated this year, including Health, Labour and Welfare Minister, Yoichi Masuzoe. Over five sessions including a breakfast meeting, discussion was held on such topics as healthcare finance and consumption tax, critical health policy issues in 2008, regional healthcare planning, and prevention of lifestyle-related diseases.
Lively discussion took place to exemplify the concept of “Healthy Debate”, and the conference room was filled with the enthusiasm of participants.
