HGPI, in collaboration with a Japanese member of WYLD (World Young Leaders in Dementia), has translated the World Dementia Council’s published statement “World Dementia Council Global Care Statement – Statement on Importance of Care and Support” into Japanese which stresses on the importance of care and support for those affected by dementia and their families.
The “Global Care Statement” articulates a number of principles to guide the provision of care and support to all persons affected by dementia, whether they are dementia sufferers, their families, friends, or caregivers. HGPI expects active dissemination of this document in Japan to raise awareness and spread education on dementia.

*The complete translated version was reported at the WDC 11 meeting recently held in London on the 19th and 20th of July 2017.
