A comment by Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) Chair Mr. Ryoji Noritake at the “10th Special Session Promoting Sustainable Research and Development for Combating Antimicrobial Resistance: Challenges in Incentives and the Importance of Global Collaboration” held during the 11th NIKKEI FT Communicable Diseases Conference (hosted by Nikkei Inc. and co-hosted by the Financial Times) was featured in the December 27 print edition of the Nikkei.
This article addresses the increasing need to expand incentive systems that will underpin the way forward in tackling human resource and clinical research system challenges currently faced in advancing research and development of new antimicrobials.
