Mr. Shunichiro Kurita, Senior Manager at Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI), lectured as a guest lecturer at the “Social Medicine Practice” workshop hosted by Akita University Graduate School of Medicine and Faculty.
In his lecture titled “The Role of Think Tanks in the Policy-Making Process: A Case Study of Dementia Policy,” Mr. Kurita presented the issues surrounding dementia policies, the advocacy for the Dementia Basic Act from a public administration perspective, described the roles of think tanks in addressing policy issues and their day-to-day activities while introducing case studies.
