An article authored by Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) Senior Manager Mr. Shunichiro Kurita titled, “Expectations for Local Governments in Year One of a Dementia Inclusive Society” was published in the “Municipalities” column on the front page of Jichi Nippo, a newspaper specializing in topics related to local government.
Prefectural and municipal governments will soon be formulating their own Plans for the Promotion of Policies on Dementia in accordance with the Basic Act on Dementia to Promote an Inclusive Society, which came into effect on January 1, 2024. In the column, Mr. Kurita discusses what will be important in the processes used to formulate those plans as well as what will be important to include in them.
