A comment by Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) Vice President Mr. Joji Sugawara’s comments at “Breakout Session D: Significance and Challenges of Infectious Diseases Control in Companies” held during the 10th NIKKEI FT Communicable Diseases Conference (hosted by Nikkei Inc. and co-hosted by the Financial Times) was featured in the November 27 print edition of the Nikkei.
The article addresses the fundamental contribution of immunization as a countermeasure against infectious diseases, the importance of a life-course approach to immunization policy, and the role of private companies and industries in the National Immunization Plan, based on the discussions and policy recommendations from HGPI’s immunization and vaccine policies projects.
