Taking Action on Dementia: G7 Global Dementia Legacy Event Private Sector Side Meeting

To complement the G7 Global Dementia Legacy Event to be hosted by the Japanese Government in November 2014, OECD and Health and Global Policy Institute will convene a side meeting to highlight and discuss the critical role of the private sector in addressing dementia. Accelerated progress is needed in the development of prevention, care, and community-level approaches take shape. Yet, publicly funded programs alone are limited in their reach. Through private sector engagement and cross-sectoral partnerships, there is potential to uncover novel and innovative approaches to dementia. The goal of this meeting is to increase momentum behind these types of private sector-led strategies in order to take a practical step forward on this critical issue.
