Invitation to HGPI Special Breakfast Meeting
“Sustainable Social Security Systems—
Current Challenges and Future Visions”
Guest Speaker: Mr. Manabu Yoshida (Director of Health Policy Bureau, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare)
Thank you for your continued support of Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI).
It is our pleasure to invite you to a special breakfast meeting featuring Mr. Manabu Yoshida (Director of Health Policy Bureau, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW)).
As you know, the Health Policy Bureau has a wide range of responsibilities, such as measures against the changes in the demographic structure and disease patterns, as well as policy research and planning concerning health service provision, human resource allocation, and medical technology. In recent years, healthcare is experiencing a significant change due to the advancement in medicine, as well as low birth rate and aging population. In particular, there are critical issues in health policy such as; utilization of new technologies including ICT, AI and big data; support to formulation and implementation of healthcare plans; and supply of healthcare workers and their workstyle reforms.
To that end, Mr. Yoshida will share his insights with you regarding the current status on urgent issues in the field of healthcare, from his position as the Director of Health Policy Bureau. Furthermore, based on his long and profound experience in health policy administration, he will also address the challenges and future directions towards establishing sustainable social security systems. At the end of the meeting, he will discuss with you these relevant issues and perspectives as well. We would be most grateful if you could join us at this event, and very much look forward to welcoming you to the meeting.
