[Registration Open] NCD Global Forum for Civil Society: Heart Disease, Stroke, and Other Cardiovascular Disease Session
date : 2/18/2019
Invitation to NCD Global Forum for Civil Society:
Heart Disease, Stroke, and Other Cardiovascular Disease Session
To confront the realities of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), HGPI is holding global forums within each therapeutic area, aiming to crystalize policy issues from patients’ perspectives, to propose necessary policies, and to bring together multi-stakeholders such as industry, academia, policy makers, and civil society including patient leaders from both inside and outside Japan to amass discussion on a level playing field. HGPI organized three forums on NCDs in 2018, focused on diabetes, dementia, and cancer and widely distributed the event reports in hopes of improving NCD policy measures in Japan as well as globally.
Given the momentum gathering around the “Basic Act on Cardiovascular Disease Measures” (English title tentative) which was established in December 2018, HGPI will hold a session that will focus on heart disease, stroke, and other cardiovascular disease. While crystalizing patient-centered policy issues that need to be reflected in the Cardiovascular Disease Measure Promotion Plans and advance discussions on the future of patient-centered healthcare delivery system for heart disease, stroke, and cardiovascular disease, the workshop will also aim to deepen understanding of the concerns that cut across NCDs.
We look forward to seeing you there.
