Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) held the final presentation of the 14th session of Health Policy Academy (HPA).
At the final presentation, participants presented policy proposals for “the year 2050” developed through approximately half of year of group work, followed by commentary from Mr. Kohei Onozaki, Board Member of HGPI, and Ms. Kyoko Ama, Fellow of HGPI.
During the presentation, participants drew on insights gained through HPA lectures and discussions conducted within their groups to develop policy proposals addressing healthcare policy challenges they had identified through group work. By taking into account future projections for 2050 and considering the anticipated views of various stakeholders regarding their proposals, participants also deepened their understanding of the consensus-building process necessary to bring policies to fruition.
This final presentation marked the completion of all programs in the 14th session of the Health Policy Academy. The 14th session of HPA approached health policy as “practical learning” and sought to provide knowledge and perspectives applicable to real-world settings and society, emphasizing the following three pillars: 1) Examining the “ideal state” of healthcare, 2) Listening to diverse perspectives, and 3) Envisioning and shaping the future.
Details regarding the 15th session will be announced on HGPI’s website and email newsletter as soon as they are finalized. We encourage you to subscribe to our email newsletter to stay informed.
