Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) held the third meeting of its task force on “Creating a Long-Term Care System for the Era of Healthy Longevity.” In accordance with Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID–19) control measures, the meeting was held entirely online and was not open to the public.
The discussion at the third meeting of the task force was based on the tentative discussion report and policy recommendation on the issues and future vision for long-term care. These reports were drafted by HGPI based on the discussions and interviews held this fiscal year. The topics discussed in the meeting include but are not limited to the importance of social recognition and/or approval of the load and care activities and what perspectives should be considered in discussing the future long-term care system that integrates the multiple systems and sectors. The policy recommendation is to be published at the end of this fiscal year.
