The NCD Alliance is an organization dedicated to preventing and controlling NCDs by uniting civil society in over 80 countries. The Global Charter aims to involve people living with NCDs in decision-making processes affecting their health and well-being, guided by five principles: “Rights-based,” “Respect & Dignity,” “People-Centredness,” “Equity,” and “Social Participation.” Both the NCD Alliance and NCD Alliance Japan are committed to promoting wider endorsement of the Global Charter by stakeholders to strengthen NCD responses that engage people with lived experience.
