[Registration Open] NCD Global Forum for Civil Society—Cancer Session
date : 10/3/2018
Invitation to NCD Global Forum for Civil Society—Cancer Session
We greatly appreciate your continued support of Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI). To confront the realities of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), HGPI is holding global forums within each therapeutic area, aiming to crystalize policy issues from patients’ perspectives, to propose necessary policies, and to bring together multi-stakeholders such as industry, academia, policy makers, and civil society including patient leaders from both inside and outside Japan to amass discussion on a level playing field. In May 2018, HGPI organized a workshop and an expert meeting focused on diabetes, compiling and widely distributing the event report in hopes of improving NCD measures in Japan as well as globally.
This time HGPI will hold a session that focuses on cancer. Together with multi-stakeholders, including cancer patient leaders and patient leaders from other therapeutic areas, we will deepen discussions on patient-centered cancer policy-making for sustainable healthcare systems. In light of the Third High-level Meeting on NCDs held in September at the United Nations General Assembly, this session will also serve as an opportunity to introduce what was addressed.
We sincerely hope that you will be able to attend.
