【December 20】Invitation to HGPI Special Breakfast Meeting Revitalizing Japan – The Basic Law for Youth Development and Seamless Child-Rearing Support Guest speaker: Ms. Hanako Jimi (Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare; Member, House of Councilors)
date : 11/12/2019
Thank you for your continued support of Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI).
It is our pleasure to invite you to a special breakfast meeting detailed below that will feature Ms. Hanako Jimi, who was recently appointed Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Health in the recent Cabinet reorganization.
As you know, in her capacity as head of the secretariat of a unified Diet members caucus, Ms. Jimi worked to establish a basic set of laws to promote child health and development. Those efforts led to the establishment of the Basic Law for Youth Development in December last year. As Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare, Ms. Jimi currently plays a central role in the MHLW administration.
On this occasion, Ms. Jimi will share her opinions on policies concerning children starting with the Basic Law for Youth Development, the future outlook for such policies, and on issues and future prospects for Japan’s National Health Insurance and social security systems. Ms. Jimi will also share her thoughts concerning the future of our country. Together with everyone in the audience, we will hold a discussion on these perspectives. We would be honored if you could join us.
Yours sincerely,
Kiyoshi Kurokawa
