[Upcoming Event] Innovation for NEW HOPE Symposium – Bringing hope to Newborns and Children: Genomic Testing and Advanced Therapies for Hereditary Intractable and Rare Diseases (December 16, 2025)

On December 16, 2025, Ms. Yui Kohno, Manager of Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI), will give a lecture at the third part of Innovation for NEW HOPE Symposium titled bringing hope to newborns and children: genomic testing and advanced therapies for hereditary intractable and rare diseases.

Innovation for NEW HOPE is a project launched in August 2023 by six individuals with shared aspirations, including patient groups and medical professionals. The aim is to ‘realize a society where cutting-edge treatments are delivered as quickly and continuously as possible in Japan.’ This symposium seeks to foster a society where patients and their families can live more comfortably by raising public awareness of the current situation regarding intractable diseases and highlighting the importance of early diagnosis and access to treatment.

Ms. Kohno will be speaking in the following program.
