The Tokyo Metropolitan Government presented the results of its series of interviews titled, “Hearings on Building a Society Where People Who Want to Conceive and Raise Children Can Do So.” Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) Senior Manager Prof. Haruka Sakamoto participated in the initiative in various roles including expert advisor.
This initiative from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government examined ways to enhance measures for making society a place where everyone who wants to conceive and raise children can do so more easily. Hearings were conducted among specialists with expertise on Japan’s declining birthrate and with celebrities who are actively speaking up about their experiences with child-rearing.
