Since 2016, Health and Global Policy Institute has been working on the important issue of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in its efforts as secretariat of AMR Alliance Japan.
On May 30, 2022, AMR Alliance Japan presented recommendations for the Basic Policy on Economic and Fiscal Management and Reform 2022 on promoting countermeasures for AMR infections, which are a threat that is equivalent to COVID-19 and the topic of accelerating discussions for inclusion among priority infectious diseases. An introduction of these recommendations was featured in The Nikkan Yakugyo online on May 30th and in print on May 31st.
