A new website has been created by the AMED Public and Private Partnerships for Infectious Disease R&D, an initiative put together by AMED as well as the Japan Association for Infectious Diseases, the Japanese Society of Chemotherapy, and the Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (JPMA) among others. The last three organizations are all AMR Alliance Japan members.
The new website features a set of policy recommendations developed by Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) via the Nikkei FT Communicable Diseases Conference Asia Africa Medical Innovation Consortium (AMIC) AMR Consortium (Secretariat: AMR Alliance Japan) on the creation of a pull incentive for antimicrobials in Japan.
HGPI and AMR Alliance Japan will continue to partner with public and private stakeholders such as the AMED Public and Private Partnerships for Infectious Disease R&D to promote solutions to infectious disease issues including AMR.
