HGPI approved for Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations

HGPI was granted Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations in July 2015. HGPI is the first organization in Japan that focuses on health policy to be granted this status.
This status allows HGPI to attend official meetings; submit written statements prior to sessions; make oral statements; meet official government delegations and other NGO representatives; organize and attend side events that take place during meetings; and participate in debates, interactive dialogues, panel discussions, and informal meetings.
*ECOSOC is the central body involved in coordinating the economic, social and related work of the United Nations. ECOSOC serves as the central forum for discussions on international economic and social issues, and for the creation and sharing of policy recommendations addressed to Member States and the United Nations system.
