The 8th NIKKEI FT Communicable Diseases Conference (Host: Nikkei Inc., Co-host: The Financial Times Ltd., Tokyo Metropolitan Government) was held on October 27-28, 2021. At this event, the AMR Consortium (Secretariat: AMR Alliance Japan) of the Nikkei FT Communicable Diseases Conference Asia Africa Medical Innovation Consortium (AMIC) shared its recent activities, including the release of policy recommendations calling for the creation of a pull incentive in Japan. Members of the AMR Consortium also discussed future issues to be discussed towards better AMR policy.

In light of the situation with novel coronavirus, this conference was carried out primarily online. On-site participants were encouraged to keep a safe physical distance from each other.
