Shotaro TsukamotoSenior Associate, Health and Global Policy Institute
After graduating from the Tokyo Metropolitan University Department of Nursing Sciences and earning his nurse’s license, Mr. Shotaro Tsukamoto completed a master’s degree in community mental health nursing at that same university. His past research includes epidemiological research on alcohol use disorders and clinical research on stimulant use disorders. After completing graduate school, he served as a nurse in the gastroenterology ward of a general hospital. During that period, he continued serving as a joint researcher performing statistical analysis. He joined Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) after growing more aware of the importance of healthcare policy during the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. At HGPI, he is currently working on projects for antimicrobial resistance (AMR), non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and the Health Policy Academy lecture series.
