About Privacy Policy
Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) shall establish, in relation to the protection of personal information, the “Personal Information Protection Policy” (hereinafter referred to as the “Privacy Policy”) provided below and shall endeavor to comply with it.
■Declaration
When handling personal information, the Institute shall comply with the Private Information Protection Law as well as with all relevant laws and regulations and shall securely and appropriately use, store, and process such information.
Article 1. Definitions
1. Personal information
“Personal information” refers to information about a living individual that can be used to identify them specifically, such as name, date of birth, or other information (including information that can be easily cross-referenced with other information to identify a specific individual), or information that contains a personal identification code.
2. Sensitive personal information
“Sensitive personal information” means personal information as to an identifiable person’s race, creed, social status, medical history, criminal record, the fact of having suffered damage by a crime, or other identifiers or their equivalent prescribed by Cabinet Order as those requiring special care so as not to cause unjust discrimination, prejudice, or other disadvantages to that person.
3. Personal data
“Personal data” refers to personal information that constitutes personal information databases or equivalent. “Personal information databases or equivalent” refers to collections of information (including personal information) that is arranged in a systematic manner so that specific personal information can be retrieved using a computer. It also refers to personal information processed using paper that is organized and classified according to predetermined rules and placed in a state that allows for specific personal information to be easily retrieved.
Article 2. Purposes of use
HGPI shall use any personal information for the purposes undermentioned:
a. To send publications, etc. issued by HGPI, and to transmit the HGPI e-mail magazine.
b. To provide information on training courses, seminars, etc., and to manage attendance records.
c. To provide users with important notifications regarding the administration of services provided by HGPI or their maintenance, and to notify users of necessary information for services administered by HGPI.
d. To conduct surveys, to notify users when surveys are to be conducted, to prepare statistical materials, and to tabulate and analyze survey findings.
e. To respond to inquiries and consultations, to make confirmations, and to record such interactions and responses. (Includes user identity verification.)
f. To manage information related to payments for the use of services, and to notify users of such information.
g. To perform seasonal greetings and other social courtesies.
h. For any purposes incidental to the purposes of use described above.
Article 3. Handling of personal information
1. HGPI shall specify the purpose of the use of personal information to the fullest extent possible, and shall collect only the information necessary for the attainment of said purpose.
2. HGPI shall collect personal information through fair means and shall announce the purpose of its use prior to its collection, or notify the individual to whom the personal information relates, or announce the purpose of its use promptly after collection, unless otherwise allowed by relevant laws and regulations.
3. HGPI shall obtain prior consent for the acquisition of sensitive personal information or equivalent, except in the circumstances described below.
a. When required by law
b. When necessary to protect the life, body, or property of an individual, and it is difficult to obtain their consent
c. When there is a special need to improve public health or promote healthy child development, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual in question.
d. When sensitive personal information in question is acquired from an academic research institution or similar party, and when it is necessary to gather said sensitive personal information for the purpose of academic research. (Including cases where acquiring sensitive personal information is in part for academic research purposes, excluding cases where there is risk of undue infringement on the individual’s rights and interests.) (Limited to cases in which academic research is conducted jointly by HGPI and the aforementioned academic research institution or similar party.)
e. When said sensitive personal information is disclosed by the person in question, a national agency, a local government, or anyone listed in each item of Article 57, Paragraph 1 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, or any other party specified by Order of the Personal Information Protection Commission
f. Other cases equivalent to those listed above and specified by Cabinet Order
4. In the event HGPI acquires sensitive personal information outside of the intended purpose of use, said information will be destroyed immediately.
5. HGPI shall endeavor to maintain the personal information held by HGPI so that it is accurate and up-to-date to the extent necessary for the attainment of said purpose of use.
Article 4. Changes in purposes of use
1. The purpose of use of personal information may be changed when said purpose is relevant to the purpose of use before the change, and the purpose of use after the change can be reasonably considered to be within the scope of the previous purpose of use.
2. When there is a change in the purpose of use, HGPI will notify service users of the changes or publicly announce the changes on the HGPI website, in a manner prescribed by HGPI.
Article 5. About safety measures
1. HGPI shall implement rational security measures to prevent and correct illegal access to personal information; loss, destruction, falsification and leakage of personal information; and risks related to personal information.
2. HGPI shall endeavor to maintain appropriate management and protection of personal information through review and improvement on an ongoing basis.
3. The implementation of this Privacy Policy shall be the responsibility of all officers and employees of HGPI. The executive director shall be appointed the main contact and shall promote detailed measures.
4. HGPI shall thoroughly supervise all directors and employees in complying with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and all other relevant laws and regulations
Article 6. Third party provision
1. HGPI shall use personal information only within the scope of the purpose of use specified and shall not provide any personal information to any third party without the prior consent of the individual to whom the personal information relates, except in the circumstances described below:
a. Where and when it is requested by law.
b. When personal information is processed as statistical data in a manner that individuals cannot be identified and so that said personal information cannot be recovered.
2. When personal information is provided to or received from a third party, HGPI will make a record of necessary items in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, and said information will be retained for the period prescribed by the Personal Information Protection Commission.
Article 7. Outsourcing of operations
When deemed necessary by HGPI, HGPI may partially outsource operations and provide personal information to the outsourcing party as necessary. In such cases, HGPI will implement security measures such as signing a nondisclosure agreement with the outsourcing party, and conduct appropriate supervision of the outsourcing party.
Article 8. Disclosure and update of personal information
In the event that HGPI is requested to disclose, correct, and/or delete any personal information by the individual to whom it relates, it shall disclose, correct, or delete the personal information to a reasonable extent. However, in the event that the request does not meet the requirements stipulated in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, or that disclosure is deniable under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other relevant laws or regulations, requests may not be fulfilled.
Article 9. Changes to this privacy policy
Except when required by laws and regulations or this Privacy Policy, the contents of this Privacy Policy are subject to change without prior notice to service users. Unless otherwise specified by HGPI, revised versions of this Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time of posting on this website.
Article 10. Regarding the use of cookies
This website uses cookies. A cookie is a small text file containing arbitrary characters in place of personal information. When browsing this website, cookies are exchanged between this website’s server and visitors’ internet browsers and are stored on visitors’ terminals. Using cookie information allows us to provide services that are more well-suited to visitors. Visitors’ browsers can be set to provide advance notification that our site uses cookies and to accept or refuse cookies. 運用目的
本方針は、日本医療政策機構((HGPI: Health and Global Policy Institute)(以下「当機構」))のX、Facebook、LinkedIn 、YouTubeなどのアカウント(以下、「HGPI公式SNS」といいます)の運用に関する事項について定め、その履行に努めて参ります。
基本方針
HGPI公式SNSは、当機構の業務、取組み、行事の更新情報等を発信することを通じ、利用者に当機構の理解を深めていただくとともに、利用者の利便性を高めることを目的とします。 また、専ら情報発信を行うものとし、原則として、返信等は行わず、意見・問い合わせについては、HGPI公式ウェブサイトの「お問合せ」において受け付けます。
なお、プライバシーポリシー(個人情報保護指針)については、上記の「プライバシーポリシー(個人情報保護方針)について」に準じて対応いたします。
運用方法
HGPI公式SNSは、当機構の事務局によって以下の通り運用することとします。
(1)発信する情報 HGPI公式SNSでは次の情報を発信することとします。

免責事項
- HGPI公式SNSの掲載情報の正確性については万全を期しておりますが、当機構は利用者がHGPI公式SNSの情報を用いて行う一切の行為について何ら責任を負うものではありません。
- 当機構は、ユーザーにより投稿されたHGPI公式SNSに対する「リプライ」、「リポスト」、「コメント」等につきまして一切責任を負いません。
- 当機構は、HGPI公式SNSに関して、ユーザー間又はユーザーと第三者間でトラブルや紛争が発生した場合であっても、一切責任を負いません。
- コメント等の投稿にかかる著作権等は、当該投稿を行ったユーザー本人に帰属しますが、投稿されたことをもって、ユーザーは当機構に対し、投稿コンテンツを全世界において無償で非独占的に使用する権利を許諾したものとし、かつ、当機構に対して著作権等を行使しないことに同意したものとします。
利用者による書き込みの削除等
以下の各項に該当する場合、予告なく削除又はアカウントのブロック等を行う場合がありますので、あらかじめご了承ください。
- 法律、法令等に違反する内容、または違反するおそれがあるもの
- 特定の個人・団体等を誹謗中傷するもの

- 当機構の発信する内容の一部又は全部を改変するもの
- 当機構の発信する内容に関係ないもの
- その他、当機構が不適切と判断した情報及びこれらの内容を含むリンク等

本方針の内容はHGPI公式ウェブサイトに掲載します。また、本方針は必要に応じて事前に告知なく変更することがあります。 ※また、HGPI内のプロジェクトが運営しているSNSにおいても、本ソーシャルメディアガイドラインに基づき運営します。
