[Upcoming Event] Kick-off Event for with Planet “What Can I Do to Ensure the Health of the Planet? (April 27, 2023)

On Thursday, April 27th, 2023, the Vice President of HGPI, Joji Sugawara, will speak at the with Planet kick-off event, “What Can I Do to Ensure the Health of the Planet?”
with Planet was established on a media partnership between the Asahi Shimbun and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and is operating with partial funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. It aims to help address the major global social issues facing developing countries, including infectious diseases, poverty, gender, education, global warming, and refugees. In response to the spread of COVID-19, Asahi Shimbun has launched with Planet to inform and seek solutions about the issues that must be solved on a global scale for us to remain healthy. with Planet’s contents are editorially independent.
This will be the first event held by with Planet since the launch of its website in February of this year. To think about “What can we do to help?,” the event will bring together experts, civil society, students, and others to discuss issues in the field of international health, as the G7 Health Ministers’ Meeting will be held in Nagasaki, Japan, to discuss initiatives to ensure the health of the entire planet.
