[Presentation Report] The First Annual Meeting of the Japan Health Policy Research Association (Japan Health Policy Research Association; June 28, 2025)

Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) presented posters from its Dementia Project and Meaningful Involvement Promotion Project at the First Annual Meeting of the Japan Health Policy Research Association.

The Dementia Project (Lead Presenter: Nana Moriguchi) delivered a presentation titled, “Exploring the Significance and Implementation of Patient and Public Involvement in Dementia Research.” The presentation reported the results of an international study conducted to clarify the value of patient and public involvement (PPI) in dementia research and to contribute to its broader introduction.


The Meaningful Involvement Promotion Project (Lead Presenter: Daichi Watanabe) presented findings under the title, “The Current Status and Challenges of Patient and Public Involvement in Health Policy: Examples from Cancer and Cardiovascular Disease Policy.” Using cancer and cardiovascular disease initiatives as case examples, this study aimed to grasp current circumstances and identify challenges for PPI in health policy.
