Global Dementia Legacy Event Japan Remarks by HGPI’s Kiyoshi Kurokawa
date : 11/6/2014
Kiyoshi Kurokawa, HGPI Chairman, provided remarks throughout the November 5-6 Global Dementia Legacy Event hosted by the Japanaese Government and with support from several key organizations, including HGPI.
Dementia Legacy Events were held in June 2014 in London and in September 2014 in Ottawa, Canada following the December 2013 G8 Dementia Summit that was hosted by UK Prime Minister David Cameron. Japan maintained this momentum by hosting the third Dementia Legacy Event November 5-6, 2014 in Tokyo.
At this event, Kiyoshi Kurokawa, who also serves as member of the World Dementia Council, gave speeches alongside Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Health Minister Yasuhisa Shiozaki. Dr. Kurokawa spoke on the potential of big data, robots, and other new innovations and urged the government and the public to work as one to lead the way on dementia.
