Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) held the 3rd Advisory Board Meeting of the “Blood Disorders Project” in an online format on January 9, 2026.
Since the launch of this project in September 2024, we have published a Discussion Paper outlining key challenges and conducted various discussions and interviews with multi-stakeholders, including patient stakeholders, as well as specialists, home-care doctors, pharmacists, and other medical professionals, and industry representatives, toward resolving challenges in blood disorder care.
At this meeting, based on previous discussions and interviews with experts, multifaceted opinions were exchanged to enhance the effectiveness of policies in the field of blood disorders, covering themes such as “Building a Multi-Layered Medical Collaboration System”, “Patient-Centered Medical Communication and Support”, “Medical DX and Information Collaboration”, and “Institutional Support and R&D”.
The policy recommendations document reflecting the discussions from this meeting will be published in the near future. HGPI will continue to strengthen outreach to Diet members, relevant government ministries and agencies, and academic societies toward the realization of these proposals.
