Kenta Minamitani
Adjunct Fellow, Health and Global Policy InstituteMr. Kenta Minamitani is an attorney-at-law and a member of the Daini Tokyo Bar Association. At Mori Hamada & Matsumoto, he handles a wide variety of health-related legal issues centered on labor law, healthcare, and litigation. Studying public health in the U.S. broadened his perspective to encompass research and advocacy, particularly for planetary health. To contribute to progress in planetary health, he joined Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) as a program specialist in that area in 2023. He became a researcher at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine in 2024 and is involved in research projects at several universities in Japan. He has authored numerous publications including Handbook for Labor Dispute Resolution, Revised Edition (as co-author, 2023, Roudou Kaihatsu Kenkyukai CO., LTD) and Q&A for Judicial Affairs in Health Tech, Second Edition (as co-author, 2022, SHOJIHOMU Co., Ltd.). He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Tokyo, a J.D. from Keio University Law School, an MPH from Harvard University T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and an LL.M. from Stanford Law School.
